Riots and Revolts – Episodes from Africans and Asians in Britain

Back in September Fatima and I produced a radio series called Africans and Asians in Britain. We took our inspiration from a course Fatima studied at SOAS and worked in our own experiences, media discussion of immigration and some questions about the relationship between Black and Asian British history. We also looked at notions of identity, the politics  of belonging and the part minorities play in alternative political action.

The Riots and Revolts episode is probably my favourite episode of Shamaj thus far. It features Fatima sounding very radio host-y and all my arguments getting whooped by Nana.
